This has been a recurring problem in the last 2 years. Very often it sorts itself out but not this time.

Around once or twice a year in the last 2 years, my electramate 2000 (not sure if its 9or 12w / 3yrs old) would stop giving hot water / heating for around 12 hrs. Then it would sort itself out. No switch off or any tinkering required.

Last week had the radiator pump replaced (2 yr old pump / no ceasing / replaced by electrician appointed by insurance company). Had no problem for ...

Hi, there. I hope you can help me with this as I'd love an expert's input on this. I'm renting a 2 bed, electric-only flat with an Electramate 2000 thermal store installed. Following the instructions in the Electramate manual when the weather started getting cold I switch it to the "Winter" setting so that the heating would work more effectively if needed. However, when Eon sent us our quarterly bill we'd been charged approx £150 per month for electricity , compared to our £47 per ...

Hi Mike
Great site. When filling boiler, water is continually leaking out of discharge pipe, AAV leaking air continually when filling boiler. Checked PRV, seems ok. Any ideas would be grateful.

Thanks

Electramate A Class

I've moved into a property which has an electramate a-class unit in and the electricity bills i've been getting seem very very high- is this system meant to be economical? Also, most of the time the hot water is used and whenever the heating comes on, the main unit starts up- is this meant to happen or does it signal a fault of some kind (and most likely the cause of the high bills)?

many thanks

Hi Mike

what a great website you have created I hope that it has generated you lots of work as it is very helpful!

As I live in Dartford Kent and it would cost too much for you to travel to me I wondered if you could just advise me if the quote from Gledhill Response I received today for £300 + VAT (including call out, parts, labour & 12 month's warranty) was in your opinion good & reasonable??

The Electramate 2000 boiler we have has broken down, there is no pressure showing. ...

Hi I have an Electramate 2000 aec2010, serial number 2494800101. How can I tell if it is 9kw or 12kw? It currently has a simple roomstat, are there any more sophisticated ways of controlling it on the heating side. I can't figure out any way to set timers. Also the only display I can see is a red dot matrix type display that doesn't appear to give any information, although it is on. Thanks in anticipation of your help. Gary
