Hi Mike,

Thanks for creating this site. I have a problem with my electramate 2000 (not sure 9 or 12kW) - I would be grateful if you could give me some advise.

For the last 2 months I have noticed a delay in heating to come on, and also water to heat up. When I increase the temp., immediately the sound of system working is heard, but it takes a while for room heaters to heat up. At times midway through a shower, the water goes cold, need to wait for some time before it again starts giving ...

Hi,
I have a property which irent out. Im a qualified electrician so have some knowledge with boilers etc..
I replaced the replays on this boiler 6 months ago due to them being burnt out. This was recommended by Gledhill technical.

There is now inconsistent hot water. Could this be the DHW sensor or something else. If it is the sensor could you give me brief details on how to locate/replace??
Thanks

The two relays on my electramate have burnt out, ive ordered replacement relays/wires/connectors etc and stripped out the old burnt ones, ive labelled the wires up but have one question.

the relays ive removed are the onrom ones and they will be replaced by repols.

There are two red wires that come out of a hole on the mounting board. these previously went to the two terminals on the bottom of the onrom relays 2313 and 13 were the numbers of the terminals.

when i replace the onroms ...

Hi,

I have a gledhill electramater 2000 and it is leaking water. Have arranged for a repair man to look at it tomorrow but need to try and stop it leaking. I have switched it off and have turned the stop valve off but still leaking. The pressure has dropped slightly and not leaking as much is there anything else I can do? If this gentleman can't repair this is there anyone in the Congleton area of Cheshire who you would recommend. I had a card though my letter box from one but he wanted ...

HI Mike,

When the hot water is run the pump goes through the sequence of trying to run as the board starts to run the pump at the lowest voltage. The pump won't run unless you release the bleed screw on the pump. If you don't release the screw the control board steps up the votage until finaly the pump will run but it is then running too fast so the hot water control steps up and down.

I stripped the pump down and found the impeller went tight when pushed in.

The DHW pump is a UPS15-50X18 ...

Hi there, I'm hoping this isn't too big a problem, but I have an Electramate 2000 (unsure if it's 9 or 12 kW!) and it works great, I have warm water and warm radiators...but only one at a time!! Every time I switch the heating on, the hot water goes, almost instantly! This is particularly evident at night for some reason. Have you any idea what might be causing this and any possible solutions?!

Mike,

I have an electramate 2000 which is approximately 2 years old. The automatic air valve was leaking from the cap, and upon inspection the gasket between the cap and the brass casing had perished. An engineer appointed by the developer replaced this with an o ring, which resolved the leak. Opon closer inspection, the thread in the cap had split, and the leak resumed due to the lack of a good seal.

I was supplied with a replacement cap, of a different design with no apparent provision ...
