Hi All / Mike!

This boiler has been installed in my house for 7 years with no real problems, and it actually does seem to be working fine heating / water wise.

However, I have an intermittent issue that's been getting worse for the last 6 months. It's a very loud vibration type noise that comes from the boiler several times per day.

Now, 6 months ago this would ONLY occur when I'm running a hot water tap, usually after a few minutes. The noise would normally go away by itself after ...

We've just moved in to a new house with a Gulfstream 2000. It's been working fine for the past couple of months but suddenly our showers were going hot/cold/hot/cold and the pressure guage is at 0. All the lights report everything is ok, but we took the panel off to see if there was any sort of diagnostic light panel (like our other boiler had), but there's nothing of the sort. Instead there is a red light flashing on one of the electronic boards but unsure if this is normal.

We've tried ...

As a newbee i have come to you as I have reached an inconclusion. The symptom of this 18kw was fluctuatiing hot water output temp from cold to well above the regulated 55C. The ACB diagnosed a faulty PHE sensor. I got one froe SEGEL and replaced - no difference. Running a reboot of the ACB didn't solve the problem but I noticed that the pump adjacent to the PHE wasn't running and during test a buzzing came from the ACB _ Iassume this is a relay and the pump isn't working. At the same time, of ...

Hi,

I have been experiencing a similar problem you describe on your site where the hot water goes hot/cold/hot/cold etc. I have used the diagnostic display and have identified an intermittent PHE sensor error.

I have looked on the Gledhill site but cannot see this sensor in their parts list. Could you tell me which part to order? Should I also change the DHW sensor? Also, could you explain the procedure to change both sensors....and do you think it is worthwhile just removing and ...

Have unfortunately an unreliable gulfstream 2000. In the last week the manual reset button keeps popping out, cutting out the boiler and causing the heating to stop. I can reset it and the burner will come back on, but it lasts on average for 45 mins before it has popped out again.

Last year we had the overheat store red light come on, and had the new main boiler part ( heat exchanger) changed due to corrosion which cost a fortune. New inhibitor was put in and a power flush was done. We have ...

Hard Water and Heat Exchanger Lifetime

Hi,

I live in a hard water area and my boiler seems to be sounding a little off colour. I have had hard water issues in the past causing the heat exchanger to get blocked and replaced twice.

1) What are the chances its blocked and the symptoms?
2) Do i need to purchase a complete Heat Exchanger Unit (£600) or can i get away with the internal 'head' unit, around £100?

Thanks
