We can get heating from our gas boiler but no hot water. We called out an engioneer from First National Associates (a company I will NEVER use again) who have told us it will cost £300 for a new diverter valve for this type of cylinder(systemate SP144 standard fill). I have looked around on the internet as prices and the most expensive diverter valves seem tro be less than £150. Are we being ripped off?

We have the Systemate2000 with what is either the 402 or 502 Maxol Microturbo boiler. It seems that more or less once a week we get up in the morning and the boiler has switched itself off and the hot water is cold (ie, it's not hot!). The Gloworm fault finding table points towards no pump over run , however i believe the ACB on the SM2000 activates a 3 min pump over run when the heat in the thermal store is satisfied (77deg c) and the boiler shuts down ? Sw2 store reading +60degs c, the ch circulating pump activates and the radiators warm. I don't get any error codes when pressing sw1/2 SW1 ...
