Hello, first post for me as learn the intricasies of central heating systems. Excellent site Mike, most informative.

I've come accross the thermostore shown in the picture below that the owner claims to be a boilermate 2000 but the picture looks different to that in the installation instructions on the Gledhill site here.

http://www.gledhill.net/pdfmanuals/2000%20Range/BM2000-Iss10.pdf

Any ideas if it is a Boilermate and if so which one?

Thanks,

The mixer tap linked to our Boilermate has failed a number of times and been replaced, we were eventually told that the reason for the failure was the system was running too hot. We have turned the temperature gauge down and since than there have been no problems with the mixer tap. However, now the water pressure has fallen. Does anyone have any ideas how we can improve the water pressure?

help!

im new to plumbing so be easy on me!

i succesfully replaced a bedroom radiator by isolating the old one at the valves and replaced with a new one.

the problem now is that a leak has sprung from below the valve on the water intake side. ie the valve has become loose from the pipe and needs retightening or replacing.

im currently draining the system so am able to access the pipework water free. however it has currently taken almost 4 hours.

i turned the water supply ...

Hi, we have a Boilermate (circa 1999) system and recently the radiators have been coming on even though the thermostat (Honeywell T40) is off and appears to be switching on and off ok. The Boilermate is set to summer setting, manual over ride on the mechanical clock is off. The system has 2 GrundFos pumps, we are in a hard water area but have had a Scalewatcher system fitted to the mains water inlet for a number of years - it seems like it could be a sticking 3 way valve to me but I can't see ...
