Hi everyone!

Recently moved into a house with Simplee Solar panel linked to a Boilermate 2000 with a Solar Pod, as we learn to live with this interesting and idiocyncratic system I notice a few things:

Jumpers are on 1 and 4 only, there is a notice label regarding a jumper position on the 'white comms board' which I take to be the vertically oriented board just to the right of the main jumper board on the PCB, the position of this jumper determines the temperature the store reaches ...

When we moved in to the house we were told not to worry about the mechanical timer on the front of the gledhill biolermate as it was all controlled by the electronic box thermostat in the hall. We are having hot water problems and the boilermate has been buzzing and disturbing my sleep for months. Does the mechanical timer actually have a function? Am i using it wrong?
Hi , i have been asked to look at a boiler mate 2000 with no hot water. I have not worked on these before and from your forum think it will be the Dhw heat sensor but would like to check if there is any check for this or if you can bypass it to check it will work once replaced.customer had no instructions and the ones downloaded off gledhill dont seem to tell me much. Many thanks. Andy

Hi all,

Having problems with my Boilermate 2000 & Ideal Boiler System which is approx 3 1/2 years old.

The hot water supply seems to be OK but the Central Heating is operating intermittently when required. The boiler seems to go off before the system has reached the required temperature. The boiler is also making some strange noises (gurgling/banging) occassionally when in operation. I thought this may be air in the system but I am in a hard water area, I have also bled the radiators ...

Just had a heated towel rail fitted and plumber got great info from you prior to job. He gave me your contact details and said you were the man to ask!! We've had a problem for some months now where the water at the hot taps soon runs cold (central heating is fine). If we switch to emergency however, either just water or heating and water, we get instant hot water back to the taps. If we switch back to normal then water soon begins to run cold again. Any ideas? - Thanks.

Hello. we have intermittent firing of boiler which occurs once or twice a fortnight then resolves itself. From previous posts sounds like DHW pump (sic) and/or circuit board issues.

But when it refuses to kick in, no hot water or heating and need to use Switch etc which isnt ideal.

Just had boiler (Ideal Slim 360) serviced and is on max etc.

Anyone nice enough to post what signs i should be looking for on the BM 2000 before i call someone out to look at this, then it would be much ...

There is hot water but no heating and the boiler is no longer firing. Any ideas?

Yet another problem with my BM2000. I suffer from intermittent hot water - turn on the hot tap, the water runs hot, then warm, then cold, then warm, then hot and so on - even if only one tap is turned on. Also, on some occasions, I get no hot water, although to resolve this I have to switch off the power to the BM and then turn back on and everything works OK. It also sounds like the HW pump is constantly running, not sure if this is connected or a separate problem. The boiler is set to max. ...

My partner and I recently purchased a new home. The pipes had been drained during the homes non occupancy which ended up being nearly a year.
Hi, I have a problem with my boiler not firing. It's an Ideal Icos HE15.

The boiler feeds a Boilermate 2000 and the system is about 9 years old.

Initially it started as the boiler throwing a fault (fault code F) intermittently, then more often.

Now the boiler doesn't fire at all and we have had to use the emergency override on the Boilermate.

If I reset the boiler it attempts to fire three times then throws the fault. I have tried having the boiler thermostat at differing temperatures ...

I have just visited a job with a boilermate 2000 and a potterton suprima. There is no display at all on the ACB LCD display. The room stat is set to max as is the boiler stat and none of the pumps are running. I reckon the ACB itself is needing replaced but would just like to know if anyone else has had this problem in the past and fixed it with a new board. thanks. Oh and the boilermate does not have the optional switch backup if that makes a difference

Hi,

I have a boilermate 2000 system with a potterton boiler in the kitchen in my house.

But I do not live at the house anymore, I live two hours away, and I rent it out. My tenants have said that the "boiler does not fire" and the only way they can get hot water and heating is to use the override switch on the boilermate 2000. I guess that is an electric immersion heater?

Is there anything obvious I can ask my tenants to check, before I resort to calling in a professional?

Thanks

Having fun and games with our lovely 2000...

Fun started with showers running skin removing scalding hot, then artic, no rhyme or reason to it.

Our local plumber came around , he's worked on this boiler a couple of times as it's the same one across the entire housing estate where we live. So he knew to change the PHE sensor, still problem persisted.

Turned out we had a faulty replacement, so he ordered new replacement, installed it and that fixed the hot/cold issue on 2 of the ...

Hi Mike,

Due to cold weather we have had the heating on for long period of time. We often hear like a garggling noise in the Boilermate upstairs - like the noise a boiling kettle makes... then there is a sort of water discharge that runs in the loft. Could it be that water is being lost from the small tank in the loft? Why does it make that noise? Could it be another Boilermate issue? How can it be repaired?
Thanks

The heating runs on a time clock but the thermal storage is on all the time. My gas bills are rather large, is there a way to turn it off, should I just switch off the boiler and put up with a wait until the house warms up?

Hi, Our heating seems to be on all the time. It is not controlled by the thermostat. Even when set in the permanently off position it heats the radiators. In addition the water is coming out very hot. Any ideas?

Hello,

I'm having a problem with my Boilermate 2000 in that if the timer has been off for a while, when it comes back on the system takes hours before hot water is pumped through to the radiators. The boiler seems to be working fine and we do get hot water, although not at it's usual red hot temperature.

Rather than me write a large amount of unnecessary test here, are there any specific question or details that would be helpful? I can tell what lights on the circuitboard come on for ...
