Life expectancy of a Boilermate II
I am buying a property about 13 years old with a Boilermate II and was wondering what the general lifespan of these units are. I noted some corrosion at the base but concerned there may be corrosion internally.
I intend to get the boiler and unit serviced once I move in but was wondering whether I should actually budget for replacing it with a Megaflo or Gledhill equivalent. Are they problematic. Any comments appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Life expectancy of a Boilermate II
Hi
The Boilermate 2 has very few problems related to it, however if you are in a hard water area it may be prone to scale.
When you have your boiler service (by a Gas Safe Registered engineer), make sure that the boiler thermostat is still left at its maximum position.
