hot water in the morning then lukewarm

Post  kjshackell on Fri Dec 23, 2011 11:39 am

Hi,i have the pulsacoil 2000 and have generelly lukewarm water. The electrician said it was the element at the bottom, which i had replaced.
This did not make a difference at first, however the electrician then tested the relay and found it not to be pushed in properly,i had hot water following this, though it was lukewarm.
We then replaced the thermostat (one specifically for pulsacoil 2000) and to 75 degrees.Following this i tried to run a bath at 09am and it came through hot enough for 5 mins then went lukewarm and i had not even got a bath full,i even slowed down the flow but this made no difference.
By 5pm i still have lukewarm water to hot water even just to wash up and that can be without even trying to run a bath.
I have tried replacing everything and the neither the plumber or electrician can come to a conclusion.
Any ideas?

is it a pc 2000 ?
If it is is the unit hot?
If so check the pump is running.
Could be DHW sensor
PHE sensor
Pump drive PCB
Or Pump.
All the above if the unit is hot!

Could be the following

DHW and (or) PHE sensor issue. Also I would have the eco 7 supply looked at to make sure it is coming on long enough.
