No Hot Water, Two Blinks

Post  paddington on Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:27 am

Hi Mike, great board you have here. It's been very helpful in my trouble shooting.

My Pulsacoil2000 has no hot water.

LED - Two blinks, pause... that seems to be positive.

Green and red indicator lights on the panel are not on.

Reservoir on the top is full.

Cabinet is hot.

I just returned from a holiday when I had the fuse turned off to save on the cost. It worked well for three days, now no hot water.

Ideas?

Update

Post  paddington on Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:29 am

Update: I turned off the three switches and had another look-see inside of the cabinet. I didn't see anything too meaningful, but when i closed it back up and turned it on, it started making a boiling noise again.

Is she flagging, or is there something I can do?

Resolved

For anyone with a similar problem:

I bought the part (Gledhill GT153 DHW Sensor) from here: http://www.keeptheheaton.com/acatalog/Gledhill_Boilermate_Spares.html#a114437 and had it swapped out quickly. KeepTheHeatOn was fast and communicated well at every step (Thanks Paul).

I had a hard time turning off the main at the stopcock, only to learn that the stopcock had seized up. In fear of flooding my flat, I had a professional stop over and he was able to recognize the issue and have it resolved in under 30 minutes.
