Operating Water Pressure

Post  richie_t on Thu Feb 02, 2012 10:43 am

I have a GULFSTREAM A-CLASS AGA4250 boiler fitted.

At this time it appears to be operating both central heating and water sufficently with no faults showing on the control panel however I have noticed that the water pressure gauge is showing 0.5bar when off and only increases slightly when the boiler fires up.

I understand the pressure should ideally be between 1-2bar.

Firstly, Is the boiler likely to stop operating ?
Secondly, having taken the front of the boiler I cannot easily see the refil taps to top the water pressure back up.

Could you advise please as I have had numerous boilers prior that every so often need the water pressure increased which is normally an easy fix.

Many Thanks,

Richie

Well a good start pressure wise is 1.0 bar cold.
This will rise when hot.

Thanks Mike, are you able to advise on how I can top the pressure up as I can't locate the black taps/knobs to add 0.5bar.

I have the same issue. Manual isn't very clear but I'm not an expert. We also have a slight leak underneath.
Is this the beginning of the end or an easy repair.
