Systemate 2000 staying permanently on Empty Systemate 2000 staying permanently on

Since yesterday I am having a problem with my Systemate 2000...

The problem is that it seems to be permanently on and therefore the radiators are staying on and very hot.

I always have the timer switch set to on all the time...normally therefore the system turns on and off depending on the thermostat temperature. However, it now seems to be stuck in the on position regardless of the thermostat temperature...I have tried turning this down and up. I hear the click when I do that but the system does not turn off and the radiators remain on.

I have looked at the ACB and it shows "on" in red lights. Previously if I press the sw1 or sw2 switch the display would change, but now pressing those has no affect and the display does not change from showing "on".

I have turned the system off and back on again a few times now but the same problem has remained.

Any ideas as to what I should do?

this sounds like ,your PCB is faulty, i.a. not controling your systamate. get a new pcb , swop over ( watch for the jumper on your old bord and fitt in the new one !!! ) this should fix the problem.

Hi and thanks very much for the reply. Is it easy to take out the old pcb and put in the new one? And any recommendations on where to get a new pcb board?

It is easy for me, it's " only " a swap over, but I do this for living and working on Gledhill Boiler now for the last 12 years and being in the plumbing and heating trade since 1982. You can give this a go, only if you feel confident enough. But normally I would not recommend any DIY- work on any Gledhill Boiler, course also the majority of Plumber and Heating installer would not fiddle with them (and they do this also for living). Yes if this works, you can save yourself some money but you also can make a massive damage to your Boiler if not. ( and remember to fit the jumper in to the correct position, the new PCB is not set up for your boiler right out of the box, reference is in the installation book from your Boiler , behind the frond panel normally)
Parts you can get at SEGEL ( Google for SEGEL Gledhill parts)
