Boiler Mate 2000 problem

Post  brusie30 on Tue May 15, 2012 1:47 pm

Hi,

Hopefully someone can advise me???

The boiler went to lock out and will not reset. The BM2000 has the 3 green LEDS lit, the DHW pump running but no power to the CH or Boiler pumps even though everything is calling for heat! The boiler stat is set to MAX. There is no Green Power light on and there is no digital display on, on the PCB area??

Thankyou!

Karl

Hi Karl,

Afraid it's a new PCB board.

Thought so! How much roughly please? Will this stop the boiler from working at all then until fixed?

Hi,

Thanks mate, I thought so! Can you give a rough estimate to fix? Will the boiler not come on until PCB is fixed?

Cheers

Karl

Hi Karl,

Are you looking to fit it yourself or someone to install it for you? If someone to install it what area are you in?

If MK Group (US) were to do it, costs would be as follows:

Labour £66.00
Materials PCB £288.59

If you want to do it yourself, you can order the PCB direct from our website:

http://www.mkgrouplimited.com/gledhill/gledhillspares/gledhill-boilermate-2000-spares

If you are going to attempt it yourself - isolate the mains electricity and check that all the pumps are free by using a flat screwdriver, sometimes a seized pump can cause the PCB to burn out and may also require replacing.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
