Hi all

Homeserve engineer replaced the main pump valves due to build up of leak from them and some corrosion residue build up. Ever since then the domestic hot water is boiling hot but the central heating won't come on. Pumps are all seeming to be working according to homeserve engineer but I'm not convinced they are.

Any advice here to try ? I'm perplexed we've had 2 heating engineers now and both have been unable to diagnose the fault.

I live in central Scotland and my next option will be gledhill but not sure of company local to me

Thanks and hope this forum can help

Kind regards Dave

Well make sure the heating is on.
Including room stat. Turn that up full to ensure it is calling.
Then then central heating pump should run.
You can check that it is, by removing big chrome screw at front of pump.
Put your finger in gently and it should be turning.
But sometimes the impeller inside the pump may be loose etc.
Another way is to check when the heating is calling for heat with a volt meter or voltage probes.
Check that the pump valves have been turned on!
If the is no supply to the pump, then need to check time clock and room stat.
If they are all ok.
Then it could be the main PCB board.
Checked the display? Any fault codes?
