Green LED's not going up
Hi All
Our boiler started to trip out on a regular basis but was still working otherwise. I investigated and found that the green leds on the front of the Sytemate (twin circuit board version) never went up past one and so it was continually requesting the boiler to heat the water past the boilers max safety level.
I replaced the store temperature sensor and then the lights started to go up as the water was heating. The boiler then started to trip out before the temperature got all the way up to the 10 lights being on so I thought that maybe the temperature settings were too high. I played with the three buttons on the pcb (+, -, set) to try to lower the temperature setting but now the green lights are stuck on the 1st 2 being on with orange led's 11 and 12 continually flashing(ie. continually requesting the store be heated)
Everyone first says that it is the bolier but I do not believe this to be the case as the boiler quite satisfactorily heats the house and only overheats when the system is on hot water only (ie not circulating throughout)- so I think the system is simply not turning the boiler off.
I think the new temperature sensor that I bought might have blown but can't be sure because I pressed the 3 buttons so many times that I might have messed up the settings
1) Is there a way to revert to the factory defaults?
2) Could the PCB be blowing the temperature sensor?
3) Could too much heat be blowing the temperature sensor?
4) If I do manage to reset to factory defaults, how do I lower the max temperature being requested?
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Green LED's not going up
Switch unit off.
And after a few minutes back on it may re boot.
If not start with the book System mate III page 22?

Re: Green LED's not going up
Hi Mike
Thanks for that, I tried turning off and on but I think that the heating sensor is gone. Even with the heating and hot water up to temperature it is still showing just the 1st green light flashing. What do you think broke it? Could it be the heat destroying the sensor or the PCB board? Remember that when I first replaced the heat sensor it was working...
Cheers

Re: Green LED's not going up
I would check the connections you made are correct.
As it is quite easy to get them wrong sometimes.
