Boilermate 2000 Hot water timer? Empty Boilermate 2000 Hot water timer?

Is there such a thing as a hot water timer on these systems? I only seem to have hot water early in the morning then from roughly 5pm onwards. Can anyone help?

Cheers

The only timer is for the heating.
Unless someone has wired an additional one in.
BM 2000.
You boiler should be on max and 24/7.

The header tank is hot. The pipe going into the hot water pump is hot but the other side of the pump is cold. The pump doesnt come on when i turn the tap on yet it has a elec supply to it. Is the other sensor worth changing, also which sensor is which? Is the bottom of the heat exchanger the PHE and top of exchanger the DHW?

Well if you have a supply at the pump.
And it is not working, then it is the pump.
But have you changed it?
If you have did you open both pump valves up?
Did you put the pump in the right direction?

Yes i changed the pump and the hot water worked fine for a week then nothing. Must be the other sensor eh? Is the dhw sensor the top or bottom one?

Well if the pump has a supply is it going round?
Take the big chrome screw out and gently put your finger in.
Also what pump did you fit?

Grundfos pump. Nope the pump does not spin when the hot water is on but it has a supply to it.

When you say a supply.
Is there a live and neutral ?
Is there 230 volts?
If the above are there / correct then it is the pump.
To check the pump another way.
Turn unit off.
Connect a flex to the pump and plug into an extension lead.
That would prove it for you.
When you say a 15/50 pump is it the bog standard one?
If so look on the home page and down the list for
Warning when fitting 15/50 pumps to the DHW of units.

Well the pump should work!
Is it seized?
Tried turning it with a screwdriver ?
Look in where to buy parts on the home page

It turns with a screwdriver so its not seized, do the sensors tell it to go at all? It has a constant live to it! Thanks for the help btw. I replaced 1 of the sensors then it worked perfect now its stopped again.

Well if the pump has a full 230 volt supply then it should work!
Turn the pump valves off.
Remove the pump head.
Then switch it on and try it, only for a few seconds though!
If you put a flex on like I said it should run.
If after all the above it still does not.
Then pump is faulty.

Right, sorry about this. I got a multimeter and checked the voltage at the pump. It is 75V. This would suggest that this is the problem. Is there anything i can do to fix this??

Right.
You turn the hot tap on.
Water flows, one sensor is the temperature, the other speeds the pump up or down to keep the water between 50c to 55c.
All the sensors go through the main ACB (PCB board)
This works it out and runs the pump.
Check fault codes on ACB to see if you have a sensor problem.
Check the wires / connections to the one you fitted before.
It could be the ACB
Or you have fitted the wrong 15/50 pump.
Have you tried switching the BM 2000 off for a few minutes.
Then back on, this can re boot it sometimes.
To check the pump is ok you can try what I said before.

Its a 15/50 pump. I dont know if this is the wrong one or not? Also, should the voltage not be 230 instead of 75 at the pump. Ive tried switching it off/on.

Thanks for the help.

Ah so i need a pump that kicks in at 75v which would mean i have the wrong pump fitted. Strange how it was working before with this pump. Can you suggest where i get one from and the actual name of it? I tried looking on segal website there

Yes i checked all that. Nothing happens when i turn the hot tap on. The pump has a constant dupply of 75v to it. If i fit that pump in the link will it not just do the same?
