Manual reset button pops out daily Empty Manual reset button pops out daily

Hi,

I've had all sorts of problems with my Pulsacoil III since I moved in about 6 years ago, ranging from it regularly blowing fuses to having to top up the water on a monthly basis, all of which have been easy enough to sort. Starting a few weeks ago though, the manual reset button started to pop out on a a daily basis ( I can depress it again and the boiler works for a day but I am guessing that this is just putting off the inevitable) so I think am finally going to have to concede defeat and either get in a plumber or get a new boiler. I am based in Canary Wharf, London and was wondering if anyone had a clue as to what is wrong with the boiler and anyone they would recommend to come in and fix it?

Thanks,

Mark

If you are topping up on a monthly basis.
I would check the heaters and stats.
If there are no other visible signs of a leak etc.
As for a repairer.
Try the home page on here list of advertisers.
Or Google up for a Gledhill repairer, Pulsacoil III etc etc.

This sounds to me like a faulty thermostat ( not the most expensive part in the world), so no panic with dumping your Pulsacoil 3. Get a 11 inch thermostat and replace the on in the bottom immersion, is a 5 minutes job. Check both immersion elements for any leak marks, may there is the problem with your water loss in the top tank, as Mike mentioned as well. If there is, you need new immersion heater.
Shame I was working at Canary Warf just 2 weeks ago, is for me bit of a journey, but I have a few customer at London anyway and go there may every 2 month
hope this helps

Thanks guys, that is very helpful. I am not sure I am up to changing the thermostat myself (I am sure it's not complicated but I wouldn't even no where to begin...) so I will have a look in the suppliers section and see who serves my area.

Thanks again.

I noticed this post, I would recommend you only us the following thermostat for the pulsacoil 3 systems found on the Pulsacoil 3 Spares page
