Just moved into a flat with a PulsaCoil 2000 for the hot water...

The off peak switch is always on, and we are on economy 7, so in theory it should come on around midnight...

But at various times during the day, we can hear a noise coming from the unit, like it's heating up? Is this normal, or is it using peak energy to heat up?

Just worried as we are getting bills higher than expected?

So, is the noise normal during the day for short periods?

Sorry if this has been covered before, and thanks for any help

Cheers

No you have 2 heaters.
1 off peak
1 on peak.
Check that you are using the controls properly.
Also if unsure ask a neighbour or 2.
Other wise check through the posts on PC 2000's.
All been covered before.

cheers mike

we only ever use the off peak switch, so not too sure why it sometimes makes the boiling noise during the day??

Just wondered if this was normal, as don't want to be charged for peak..

What tariff are you on?
Could be E 10 which then would give you 3 hours during the day.

Defo on E7..... just wondered if it was normal to be making noises at various times during the day, or the noise indicates it's coming on, and therefore charging us?

Cheers for your help again

Boiling noise on peak time Empty Contact your supplier

Hi,

Contact your supplier and just make sure the meter is calibrated to come on at the correct time. Also request a free self check guide which covers this in case you are doing something wrong, you can get this guide via this link: Pulsacoil 2000
