Heater stopped working
Hi,
I came back after a few days away to find that my heater had stopped producing hot water. It has worked fine up until this point, so I can't see what has changed.
There are three switches marked Hot Water Pump, Water Heater, and Off Peak Water Heater. The usual config is to have the Pump and the Heater on and the Off Peak Heater off, which has always worked fine, and they were left like this before I went away.
Both the green control circuit light and the red Fault light on the front are off. I think the CC light was on before I left, but I'm not certain. The circuit board inside has a red LED that flashes roughly twice a second.
I have tried switching it off and on again with no effect. There is an audible hum coming from the heater (which I'm pretty sure was there before), so something is doing something.
Both thermostats and the circuit board were replaced about four years ago.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Re: Heater stopped working
Normal would be
OFF peak on
And the on peak would be for boost or when the off peak fails.
Get the unit hot first. Or is it hot? Feel the big pipe coming out of the top of the PC 2000.
If it is hot and no DHW then you have pump or sensor trouble.
Look at the post on the PC 2000.
All has been covered many times before.
