Systemate111 DHW sensor Empty Systemate111 DHW sensor

Post  markjamespeters Sun Oct 14, 2012 9:46 am

Hi all, here is hoping someone can help out!!

I have a Systemate111 which refuses to give any hot water or heating. The heat has been slowly reducing over the past several weeks and has totaly given up on my return from a weeks holiday away.

Having read the advice on this site it appears that replacing the DHW sensor is the first logical thing to change. This is where my problem is. I have purchased a new DHW sensor (part No. GT153), but the thread on the new part is not the same as the thread on the old part and will not screw in (The sensor I have removed has a finer thread than the replacement part)!

The obvious question is, am I looking at the correct part to change. The part that I have assumed is the DHW sensor screws directly in to the pipe that comes out of the top right hand side of the heat exchanger, with the electrical connections pluging in to the circuit board electrical block as follows, from left to right, Black -slot 3, Brown - slot 4 and Yellow/Green - slot 5.

Old part has a label with the 'Sensor PSC 12529' the new part has 'Sensor PSC 267921'.

I have attached an image showing the part in question.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you read page 22 of the manual?

Hi Mark

The hot water sensor numbers that you have provided are simply the serial number for the sensor, and together with the date code on the label, identify the manufacturing warranty, so don't be too worried.
The hot water sensor however is not going to be your problem, as if this was at fault it would only result in either erratic hot water temperatures or no hot water, and would not prevent the central heating from functioning.

I would suggest that you contact a Gledhill specialist to investigate the problem for you.
