Boilermate 2000 and Loft Conversion

Post  Chompers on Mon Aug 19, 2013 7:28 am

Hello all,

New to the site and looking for some guidance please

We are in the process of looking at a loft conversion which would mean that the F&E tank supplying our Boilermate 2k would require removal (due to its location). Has anyone on here come across this issue and a possible solution?

I have been in contact with Simon at Southern NRG who as been very helpful but just wanted to push this out to wider audiance

Regards

Page 12 of the BM 2000 books states;
The water level in the F & E cistern should be
at least 250mm above the highest point on
the system including the radiators and must
be high enough to provide the minimum
head required by the boiler being used.

So if you are going to put rads etc in the loft above the BM 2000. Tank will have to be re located.
