Hi, our boilermate 2000 stopped delivering hot water, it's 11 years old, I had a look at the pcb which said on, I switched it off and back on expecting it to initialise but the display remained blank with the 3 green LEDs lit. Turned it off/on numerous times but to no avail. Called a plumber who identified there was no power going to the boiler but he couldn't help with the BM. I turned it off at the mains and left it 24hrs then switched it back on and it's working again but for how long. Is this a sign that its on its way out and if so do you know the cause. Also does anyone know of a breakdown insurance that covers these, spoke to bgas today over the phone and the advisor went away to ask and came back with a no.
Thank you

Main ACB has failed by all accounts.
Depending on your location.
Gledhill may offer Break down cover.

Hi mike, thanks for your reply.
Even though it seems to be working perfectly well at the minute you would still recommend changing the ACB? Thanks again.

Wait until it gets worse.
Or go for break down cover now if available.
As in most cases you can not claim for the first 30 days.
