Hi there,

Wondering if anyone could please help with my Boilermate 2000? I currently have no central heating.

About Nov/Dec last year we had a problem with the heating in that the radiators were on constant even though the thermostat was turned off. It turned out to be the PCB and so we had a new one fitted. We also had all 3 new sensors fitted as well. After this the heating was working fine and only ever came on when we turned it up on the thermostat.

This year when we decided to click the heating on, we are receiving no heating. Even when we switched it to emergency we have been getting nothing.
The heating pump seemed to not be working and the pipe below running from the pipe seemed to be cold and have just yesterday had a new pump fitted.

This has not sorted the problem as we are still not receiving any heating. We checked the store temperature last night once the pump was fitted and waited for it to get to around 55 - 60 degrees. It was not getting above 53 so we knew the heating wasn't going to come on.

I have left it overnight and today when I got home the temp had reached 58, so I clicked the thermostat and again we still do not have heating.

Another problem we are now having is that when we switch the boiler to emergency it trips all of the electrics in the house, which it did not do before we had the new heating pump fitted.

Really unsure on what could be wrong and would appreciate any ideas of what it could be and how to get it fixed.
All of the plumbers we have had out to look at it don't have a clue about Boilermate systems.

Many thanks

Matt

Unit not hot enough.
Boiler set on?
If correct then check store sensor.
Is the unit full?
Back up switch heater / control has a fault.
Check the cables for burning.
Look under the heater / element.
Heating WILL NOT work if unit temperature under 60C
Gives DHW priority.
Look on here for engineer for your area.
List of advertisers on home page.
Or Google up for Boilermate 2000 repairs (your area)
Or Gledhill Repairs (your area)
Try Gledhill if not.
They may cover your area.
And if so may offer a fixed price repair which would include 12 months parts and labour too. And the option of renewing annual.
Or they may recommend a repairer.
Gledhill will not cover "system fault"
Eg; Sludge / lime scale etc

Hi Mike

Thank you for your response.
The boiler is set to max. Will look into your suggestions.

I have just noticed that heating pump has been fitted upside down. Would this have any affect on the heating not working at all?

Thanks

Thanks. I thought it would do but plumber said it shouldn't matter. Will give this a go.
