Boilermate 2000 Heating & Hot Water Issues Empty Boilermate 2000 Heating & Hot Water Issues

I have recently moved in to a house with a Boilermate 2000 and have the below issues.

Hot Water

The water from the taps is boiling hot so most of the time you can't even wash your hands without burning them. I believe the temperature can't be adjusted but is it supposed to be this hot?

When having a shower (Both Showers) the Water changes temperature from Hot to Cold on a frequent basis. This isn't as noticeable when constantly running the hot tap.

I have checked the sensor readings on the boiler and the only one that doesn't look normal is the PHE Store Temp which is showing OER which the manual states is an error. If I run the hot tap the reading can go up and down but this gets more erratic just after the tap is turned off.

Heating

Twice this week the heating has failed to come on in the morning. I haven't yet managed to check any of the readings on the Boilermate when this happened but the first time it happened I noticed even with the room thermostat turned to its lowest setting the heating remained on. I have tested the room thermostat since and when I turn it up and down the indicator on the Boilermate does goes on and off as expected. If this happens again I will try and supply some more information but for now this is all I have.

When the heating is working all controls work fine such as the room thermostat & timer so I assume the issue is with the PCB or a pump?

I do have cover with British Gas but they are quite reluctant to replace anything until they can see the fault

Thanks

Mark

Sensor needs changing.
And looks like the ACB may be faulty.

Thanks Mike, The sensor has just been replaced. When the heating last failed I checked the temperature of the store and it was around 52 which is why the heating wasn't kicking in. After the engineer checked the both the boiler and boilermate it turned out to be the thermistor on the boiler which was causing the heat from the boiler to not be as hot as normal. Hopefully both the heating and hot water should now be more reliable... I will keep you posted

Thanks

Mark
