Systemate III being replaced
Hi forum,
After 20 years loyal service, my Gledhill Systemate III is off to the cylinder scrapyard. BG are fed up coming.out to replace the pumps and/or heat exchanger every 6 - 12 months due to sludge build up.
Its being replaced by a Gledhill unvented cylinder which arrived this morning, to be fitted on Monday. Model SL Plus Ind 120 EE UV, to work alongside the existing Potterton Suprima 50 boiler (also 20 years old)
We live in a 3 storey, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house, 2 adults and 3 kids, and, when working, have always had plenty hot water from the Systemate.
The cylinder that arrived this morning has a capacity of (just?) 120l and when I googled this the consensus is that it may be on the smaller side.
BG are aware of house size and occupancy. Should I be concerned that they've ordered a 120l cylinder to replace the Systemate?
Thanks
