Pulsacoil 2000, 5 secs hot water, 5 secs cold water then in a constant loop? Empty Pulsacoil 2000, 5 secs hot water, 5 secs cold water then in a constant loop?

Hello,

I know there are similar posts here but they havent helped me....

I have recently just moved into my first flat which is exciting ( which has been empty for about a yeai think). I live in Gateshead (NE11, Next to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne), i dont think we have hard water up here..?

When i turn on the hot water i get about 5 seconds of hot water, then it goes cold for about 5 seconds, then hot, cold, hot, cold etc.

All 3 mains boiler switches are on, on the front of the panel the GREEN power LED is ON, the RED fault LED is OFF, however when i take the front panel off, on the circuit board to the top right, there is a RED LED which is flashing, from memory i thinkg its labeld H1?

Even if i use the boost button, i still get the same problem.

Any help would be much appreciated, no way i can affored £260 for an engineer to come out

I have managed to fix it myself.

I rang the gled hill technical support line, and they were almost certain it was the water sensor to the hot tap supply, its the top sensor which has a brass screw into the pipe.

I removed the sensor, and it looked dull and dirty, so i gently cleaned it using an abrasive pad, until it was shiny again, re-attached it and i have hot water again

Steps:
1. Switch power to unit off
2. Switch of water mains (Stop cock)
3. Remove the brass sensor
4. Clean sensor head
5. Re-attach sensor
6. Switch power to unit back on
7. Turn water mains back on

Hope this helps anybody else.
