GT155 circuit board
A bit quiet on here, but if someone sees this then a reply would be much appreciated.
GT155 circuit board seems to have died, the red lcd display doesn't come on. 3 green leds are lit although the middle pump doesn't run. Once boiler lights, the tank starts kettling so has to be switched off.
One of the resistors has a small amount of soot around it, so presumably blown. Is it a case of just replacing the resistor, or is it likely to have failed due to another issue?

Re: GT155 circuit board
Hi,
You could try repairing.
Or there is a firm called CET who sells refurbished ones.
But I prefer to fit new genuine ACB's
The new ones are different so may have been modfied.
Do not handle these boards (static)
And consider fitting surge and lightening protection at your fuse board / consummer unit.
Which will protect not just that ACB but the whole house.

Re: GT155 circuit board
Thanks for the reply.
In the interests of reliablilty had a new board fitted as the failed one was some 14 years old.
Marked 'Elok Opava' so presumably not genuine. ver. 29/01i.

GT155 PCB Operation
I see you have sorted the problem by replacing the PCB which you would need to do as no display and all three LED's on seems to indicate that the microprocessor circuits are not running correctly. I don't know if it helps anyone but this is a link to a youtube video that simulates the basic operation of the PCB. Obviously working with this unit requires care as there are mains voltages present. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaRdpx5LFd4
