Boilermate 2000 Hot Water but no heating.... Empty Boilermate 2000 Hot Water but no heating....

Hi,

I've read through a few similar threads but cannot find my specific issue...

Although my Boiler is running constantly, I can get no heating to any of my radiators and the hot water is intermittent.

I have an Ideal Slimline SE15 FF Boiler and it is constantly on. The GT146 Sensor has been replaced and I think that this is the Store sensor...?  I am only having 2 green LEDs light up and the three red bars on the display only all come on if the timer clock is set at constant and I actually run a hot water tap.

The readings from the Red Led display are 45, 45 and H43. I think that I'm correct that if the first reading does not go above 60 the heating will not click on....? This reading does not get above 52.

The pumps have all been checked and all are working perfectly.

Does this sound like a PCB/ACB issue or do you think it could be something else...?

I'm ready to call out Scottish Gas as the heating engineer who has replaced the sensor and looked at the problem has no experience of Gledhill systems and he assures me the Boiler and pumps are all fine...

Any ideas..?

Thanks in anticipation....

I take it the boiler is on MAX ?
Ref the 3 bars.
One is when the boiler is on.
Another ref heating
And one for hot water.
Should not need the timer on.
Try switching unit off.
Wait a few minutes then back on.
Check jumpers are on 13&4 on ACB
It does sound like the board.
Area? / location?

Hi, apologies for the delay in responding.

The boiler is on max and is running constantly. I've tried switching the unit off and on again a few times and nothing changes. I don't understand what you mean with regards to the "jumpers are on 13&4 on ACB"...?

I'm in Glasgow, Scotland...

Would you suggest I call Scottish Gas or can you or someone you can recommend have a look at it....?

Thanks and regards,

Paul

Hi Paulog13

Sorry for the late reply on this topic but I've been away from the forum fopr a while.
The symptoms and readings that you have put up indicate that the heating is not allowed to run the heating as it's too cold.

You gave the temperature readings as 45, 45 and H43. The first reading is the temperature of the store eg 45deg C. The heating will not activate if the store is below 60deg C. The bottom two green LED's are indicating that the boiler puimp is running and the boiler is being asked to start. If the boiler thermostat is set to maximum but the store remains low in temperature then the problem lies with your boiler and not the Boilermate.

Hope this helps
P.S Mikes comments about jumpers 13&4 should have read jumper number 1, number 3, and number 4. The se are on the left hand side of the Boilermates ACB (circuit board).
