So long, and thanks
I've found this site a fantastic resource over the last almost 14 years of Boilermate 2000 ownership. It's given me a good understanding of what was happening within our airing cupboard, which, when things weren't working, meant I was able to make pretty decent diagnosis before a repairman arrived. It also provided the knowledge to persuade me to successfully change the DHW and PHE sensors when they failed.
However much fun it was to know more about the system than the visiting bod from British Gas, I felt it was only a matter of time before unfixable fault arrived and the time had come to go mainstream and so a couple of weeks ago the Boilermate 2000 and the Glowworm boiler were scrapped and replaced with unvented hot water cylinder, S plan controls and a Worcester-Bosch boiler.
Thanks to all who have contributed stuff. I've learnt a lot.

Well that was a very nice comment.
Well done.
Bit the bullet and went for it.
