Pulsacoil 2000 offpeak heater not working Empty Pulsacoil 2000 offpeak heater not working

In the flat we have recently bought with a Pulscoil2000 water heater the offpeak water heater does not seem to work though the 'booster' heater does. The light does come on in the offpeak switch during the night (not sure when it starts as I haven't stayed up to watch it but is usually on at 6.30am or so when I wake up), but if we try running water before we have switched on the booster and left it for 30 minutes or more the water is at best just lukewarm (presumably picking up a bit of residual heat from the previous day). Both the offpeak and main control switches are left permanently on as instructed, and we have kept the 'top-up tank' topped up as necessary and the green light on the front of the unit (and lack of red light there) show that everything is OK in general.

Could anyone suggest what the problem might be and whether it is something we are likely to be able to fix ourselves. If not, can anyone recommend someone who deals with these boilers in the Worcester area.

Thanks

Element not responding can be one of few causes. If assistance required, can assist you in Worcestershire,

Thanks for your reply Welco. We found someone who came out and thought it was probably the element so should be coming to replace that in the near future. However, we will certainly bear you in mind if we have any future problems. I assume we would contact the general Welco 0800 number who would put us through to your staff in Birmingham.
