DHW Sensor (Boilermate 2000) Empty DHW Sensor (Boilermate 2000)

Post  ronjo67 Thu Oct 29, 2009 10:58 am

Hi all,

I have the classic problem with my Boilermate 2000, water running hot and cold. In the past I have been unaware what the problem is. Now I know I am going to try this myself. Is there anything that I have to be aware of or is this a staightforward repair/replacement, is there only one sensor that I need to replace?

Thanks

The DHW sensor is usually the cause but scale in the HE can give the same symptoms, as can failure of the PHE sensor.

I suggest replacing just the DHW sensor first though. Easy job, but turn the mains water OFF first!
