I've just purchased a new flat in Coventry which has been vacant for quite a while. The hot water is supplied by a PulsaCoil 2000. I seem to have three problems with this system.

1- The water heated through the night using the main off peak heater is only luke warm and doesn't last very long before it is cold. The on peak booster seems to heat to a good temperature.

2- When using the hot water there is occasionally a squealing noise coming from the system.

3- Often the fuse in the off peak switch and the related circuit breaker on my main fuse board for the flat is blown.

I've checked most obvious things and so I am thinking I'm going to need a visit from a professional to check it out unless anyone has any further suggestions...

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Mick.

The blowing of fuses and tripping of the circuit breaker seems to be getting worse and is happening with both the off-peak and booster heaters. I'm a little worried about the electrical safety and think I'll have to call a professional to check it out.

I also noted that the flashing light on the PCB is irratic. Sometimes 2 flashes a second (indicating OK I think) and sometimes slower flashes or more frequent flashes. Indicating a problem with the sensor I believe. I can understand this causing my temperature problem but the tripping and fuse blowing? Does anyone know if this could be connected? Maybe I just need to replace these sensors...

Luke warm water from main heater and fuses and circuit breaker tripping. Empty Have the elements inspected

The most likely cause would be the element leaking. Other causes can be an insulation failure inside the element, thermostat problem or supply issue. Ensure whoever you have out can inspect mains electrics and has an insulation resistance tester.
