why do the elements fail every 6 months?
Hi all
I have been in my property for about 3 years. In that time I've had the one or both of the heaters changed on about 6 occasions, if not more than 6 occasions. Either this is a design fault or another component which is supposed to protect the heaters is failing. I'm currently going through a process of having another one changed. Ho-hum!
Has anyone else had a problem with the heaters failing repeatedly?
cheers
Nick

I expect you are not fitting the Gledhill-recommended 'Skel' heater elements. Cheap ones from the local plumbers' merchant are not as good, and they are the wrong power.
If you ARE fitting the correct 4.5kW Skel heaters, then I have no idea! Maybe ask Gledhill. Your 9kW, two-separate-heater version of the Electramate is very rare.
Cheers, Mike
