Apologies for posting here despite already posting about the problem elsewhere, but in case someone (maybe living in the same area?) faces the same problems with their A-class, perhaps by the end of the thread there will be a solution for others.

Previously we had a manual timer installed with the A-Class boiler, which would break down every so often and need replacing. The way we found out was when there was no hot water and we would have to use the boost - this has always and consistently worked well.

The engineers had mentioned before that the relays would burn out soon (Mike the Boilerman mentions that this is a common occurance for this range of boilers I believe) but they seemed to be holding out.

Earlier this week we had no hot water again. 'The Boost' came to the rescue.

The engineer came and said the relays had gone, so decided to change them (apparently they were not the perfect fit though?) and installed an automatic timer instead.

Two days of engineering works and we still had no hot water. Even 'The Boost' was not working.

New engineer came today and said 'loose fuse holder' and fixed it, but also mentioned the board needed replacing at some point. Apparently the previous engineers had not done a very good job with their work.

There was definitely some hot/warm water just now, but after doing a bit of washing up, the water has started running cold again. The timer is still on (has been since earlier this evening) and unfortunately 'the boost' on both the automatic timer and the one on the front of the boiler are not working either.

Another day of cold showers await.

p/s: Grey tank is just under half full, green light is on.

Checked again just now (still no hot water) and the green light is off!
