Overfilled the thermal store with water Empty Overfilled the thermal store with water

Post  sonar42 Sun May 30, 2010 3:09 am

I accidentally overfilled the thermal store with water on my A-class and now I'm seeing the red light flashing slowly in Off-Peak mode. The water is luke-warm at best.

On-peak boost still appears to be working and generating hot water, so is it possible that my actions have caused a burned-out power relay on the off-peak immersion heater?

Thanks for your help.

HI

No, your actions of overfilling the top tank on the Pulsacoil A Class (or any other Pulsacoil for that matter) will not cause the problem that you are experiencing.

If the relay is burned out, this will have been caused by a faulty relay/relay connection and will require replacing (the light flashing slowly indicates a failed immersion element)

Kind Regards
