Switching the Central Heating to 'Constant' no longer works
Boiler: Gledhill Boilermate OV A-Class
Term of use: We've had the boiler for 2 years
Problem: Central Heating 'Constant' not working
Summer has now passed and the cold days are settling in. Although we have the central heating set on timer for 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening, we'd like to use the 'constant' switch feature in between to warm the house up when we want.
The problem is that this 'constant' switch feature is no longer working. Neither does the system turn on inside (normally you can hear it activating inside) however nothing happens. We've tried using the constant feature in different whether conditions and different times however it's still not working.
THE WIERD BIT: The central heating WILL however turn on when the timer'd settings arrive i.e. 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening.
Please could anyone shed some light on this problem. Customer services seem to be useless. From the research I have done online, I have seen more often than not that the electronic circuit board needs replacing.
Thanks in advance.
