Would love some help with this problem, moved into new flat with A class pulsa , 2 switches, i am on economy 7 checked with Scot power, but no hot water in the morning it is cold, the 2 switches, ?? i tried them and if i switch 1 off it switches green light off on boiler so have left this one on, the other one i think is an imersion one as when this is on i get hot warer all the time, hence a £49 bill for 1 week in new place as gave the reading in to see the cost from the last 7 days , had this switch on for 6 days so thecost is horrific for a week, so have now switched it off and now only have cold water unless i press the boost button, having the 3conomy 7 switch in the electric meter checked on thursday but could there be another problem and can anyone help with some advise, had a quote for £300 for someone to come and look at boiler but cant afford that at the moment,
thanks in advance ....

If using boost it will be costly.
Tne bottom heater is the one to use E7.
If using this one and the bill is high.
Could be that a sensor is faulty and heating too much.
Although there is an overheat sensor too.
Have you looked on the home page at the list of advertisers?
May be someone local to you.
To check it out.

Help Please with A class Pulsa urgently Empty E7 or not?

In order for the bottom heater to heat the entire thermal store using half price electricity, it must be connected to an off peak circuit from a consumer unit which is only live when the cheap rate is available, this is the way the cost of the 3 kilowatt heater is minimised. In other words when both switches are 'on' the thermal store should remain cold until the cheap rate time (midnight - 7am GMT roughly) when it will then heat up and stay hot all day until the next off peak time slot. When this has happened you get hot water at anytime, on tap.

There is another way and this would require a timer to restrict the power to the heater until the cheap rate is available as per the E7 times. Using the boost button will use dayrate unless you press it after 1am.

The electrician may not have provided you with either of these methods, and the heater is working on normal price electricity.(dayrate)

Your E7 meter will give you the total units used sometimes by pressing a button of the front, it will scroll through the Total, the dayrate and then the night rate totals, but not necessarily in that order, the electricity board should be able to tell you how to get this info from the meter they have provide in your flat.
