Overheat Safety Trip regularly activating Empty Overheat Safety Trip regularly activating

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this, my boiler has a rapid flasing red light which apparently is the Overheat safety trip. I have reset the boiler on several occasions but it keeps on coming back on, anywhere between 8 hours and 30 mins at a time.

Any ideas what this could be, the water does not seem to be over hot when i turn on any of the hot taps.

Thanks

Down load the manual from Gledhill ( free)
And go through the fault codes.
Sounds like a sensor to me.
Checked the water in the tank?

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply.

I had a look in the manual and couldn't see anything corresponding to the Overheat fault trip light I have. In my ignorance I was presuming it could be a faulty sensor as the water temperature is fine.

Yeah the water levels in the tank seem to be fine.

Any other suggestions?

I had the same problem, and it was diagnosed to be a faulty relay on the main PCB. It was replaced under warranty and works fine now.
