user info not in manual

Post  lauren12 on Fri Feb 27, 2009 11:01 am

Hi Mike,

I've just received the scariest electricity bill ever and think it may be because I've got the boiler on too much. The problem is, the switches I have on the wall don't seem to correspond to the information I've found in the manual. I have 'Pump' and below that 'Middle Imm heater' and below that 'Bottom imm heater'. I don't have a boost button or a timer that some of your other posts mention. Would you please be able to tell me which switch should be on when?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Lauren,

Apologies for the delay. Normal service will be resumed shortly....

The 'middle immersion heater' is what I mean when I mention the 'boost'. The 'Bottom imm heater' is the one that needs a timer attached.

The 'Bottom imm heater' (via the timer) and the 'Pump' should be left ON, and the 'Middle imm heater' only used for emergencies when you actually run out of hot water.

Cheers, Mike
