Hi, if you have high running costs associated with your Gledhill Electramate 2000 (Wet based heating system), please get in touch on this forum thread or via the email address below. I'm keen to understand the scope of the problem and may be able to offer advice to help address your problem.
In some cases its a simple installation issue. Get in contect directly with EHSRinfo @ gmail.com.

Re: Experiencing High Electramate 2000 running costs ?
i keep getting moaned at by tennants ( not mine) that their electric bill is about £100 a month with these boilers , anyone else the same? on the very top inside the removable casing there are 2 pop out fuses . cant remember which is which off the top of my head but it is in the installation instructions one of them is the peak, one off peak, you can pop one out so the boiler will only run on off peak, obviously this wont suit everyone and depends what tariff you are on if any, and also depends if your boiler has been wired up right in the first place. read the installation instructions to see what i mean and remember to turn th epower off before you take the cover off, i hold no responsibility for injury or death caused by reading this thread! hope it helps.

Hi
Is it the 9Kw or the 12Kw.
What model is it?
Are they on E10 rather than E7.
Are they using hot water and heating for the £100 per month?
How many using the dwelling.?

its an electramate 2000 12kw on an ecomony 10 tariff, 2 people in a 2 bed flat, hot water and heating use.
Re: Experiencing High Electramate 2000 running costs ?
£3:00p per day for heating and hot water.
£1:50p each.
Does that sound better that way!

i know what you mean, its not me complaining though, they are paying that all year mind! they get in credit during the summer and it goes in the winter apparently. The guy whos boiler im fixing at the moment reckons they have not used the heating since they lived there because a: it has never worked till the other day when i fixed it , and b: they live in a top floor flat so they get everyone else heat, untill there electramates break down that is.
