soft water area-no hot at taps-  Empty soft water area-no hot at taps-

live in soft water area and although my heating is fine i am getting no hot water from my taps. water pipe hot from boiler to mixer valve but pipe cold on other side of mixer valve. should valve be turned al the way, clockwise or anti clock wise, or somewhere in the middle. please help me!

On top of the mixer valve it is marked. Hard to see though.
Anti clock wise = more heat.
But the mixer valve could be faulty or you need a descale.

If the water is hot from the Boilermate to the mixing valve but cold after the mixing valve, then the mixing valve is at fault and requires changing.

Once replaced, the new valve should be turned fully clockwise and then approximately 2 1/2 - 3 turns anti clockwise to set the temperature at about 55deg C.
