first i would like to thank Mike for his replies. i have just written a long post and deleted it by accident so here is a condesned version despit what Gledhill say a new he boiler will not work properly with a boilermate 2. the bm2 needs to run between 80 and 85 degrees any new he boiler will not reach these temps they are not designed to run at those very high temps and have a lot of sensors and stats that old potterton suprimers did not. they can not and will not heat alarge vessle of 150 litres even when the flow is going in at max the return is to slow and cold we had 82 in service mode leaving the boiler and 20 coming back so the boiler just kept cutting out not registering any faults but would not work enough to heat this mass of water. we are now fitting anew version boilermate BMBP which works a totally different way. hope this makes sense
