Pulsar Coil 3 - Help Empty Pulsar Coil 3 - Help

Post  Samson14 Wed Jan 22, 2014 9:23 am

I have a problem with my My Pulsar Coil III as it is not producing any hot water.

Both green lights (water level and overheat) are still on and the overheat reset button has not popped out as far as I can tell.

The red LED on the first PCB is flashing normally (twice per second).

The relay further down is warm when the off-peak supply comes on.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

First thing to establish is whether the unit is hot or not. Feel the pipe coming out of the side to the top of the heat exchanger. If it's cold then we know you have a heater element problem. If it's hot the heat exchanger is not doing it's stuff.

If cold, try turning ON the boost (daytime) heater. Do to get hot water after an hour or so?

If the unit is hot, then does the pump run when you use a hot tap? If not we need to explore why not.

Awaiting the results of these questions...
