Pulsacoil Eco stainless - Scale inhibitor

Hi all,
I'm having a Pulsacoil Eco Stainless 180L installed. The plumber who will install it said that the scale inhibitor products can damage the unit and make it leak ???
Is that correct?
Should any product be used to treat the water in the unit?
I've read that some people get a scale inhibitor device installed, is this suitable for the pulsacoil ?
Can someone please clarify this?

Is the scale reducer a liquid that will be added to the water in the unit or  is it a device that reduces the scale in the Unit ?

The Gledhill scale reducer is an electronic control that is fitted to the unit in the factory and doesn't harm the unit.
It works by inducing a pulse into the water that changes the polarity of the ions to help reduce the scale buildup.
