Hi
I have a dodgy flow switch and a stiff pump and am about to replace both, can anyone tell me if I can do this without having to drain the store out?
many thanks in advance

Re: Pump replacement
Hi Chris,
You will only be able to do this if your pump valves work and if you are quick in changing the sensor, for a novice I would not recommend it.
Kind regards

Re: Pump replacement
Just some feedback after doing the job: I had to drain the cylinder as the non return valve under the pump was no longer non returning! I changed the flow switch and pump head and refilled. Silly me. I didn't test if the new pump was running freely and in fact was stuck fast due to a build up of oxides and scale in the pump body so I had to drain down again, remove the pump body and cleaned it out with a wire cup brush on an angle grinder. After that it was fine and all works perfectly now.

Great news about you pump repair
Also if you remove the cap in the center of the pump, you will see a part where you can push a flat screw driver against and turn. This may allow the pump to UN-jam.
