I have the Electramate 2000, unsure whether it is the 9kw/12kw model.

This might help a few people with the same fault symptoms!

With hot tap turned on T2 and T3 temps on LCD Display both dropped from roughly 60 to about 20 degrees, resulting in about 30 secs worth of hot water.

Had a quick nosey at the DHW pump and there is a switch on it, it was set to I. Looked at the other 2 pumps and they are both set to III. Changed the DHW pump to III and left system! Checked the hot water half hour later and it is now running perfectly and is consistently hot. Happy Days fingers crossed!

Do any experts know if changing the DHW pump setting will have any effects on the system? Should i be running it on setting III or will this cause problems?

Thanks

Mac.

Hi Mac,

It is fine to run the pump on speed setting 3, it just means that the pump is running faster and drawing water through the plate heat exchanger at a quicker rate.

Kind regards

Thanks Gary.

Do you know if that is a common fix for the hot water problem or have i just been lucky when testing the hot tap?

Regards,

Mac.

You have been lucky, usually the symptoms you have had point to the DHW sensor requiring replacement.

Kind regards
