Boiler mate 2000

I have experience with thermal store systems but am not familiar with this product. We have a new customer with a Boilermate 2000 connected to a Vaillant 415 which is banging. We suspect that the boiler does not have the pump over run wired up, amongst other things. I havent attended the property yet as it is 45 minutes drive away but, my question is, are these cylinders pre wired? are they suitable for boilers such as the 415? is it ok to simply alter the wiring to suit the 415, as you would with a conventional S or Y plan?
