pulsacoil 2000 water leak from bottom of tank

we have a pulsacoil 2000 which is 8 years old it has got a leak from the bottom of tank we have had a plumber to check it and he put some stop leak addative in the tank is this a good idea and is it going to last if not how much should we be paying for a replacment and should we get the same again

HI,

In short it may last a couple of months if you are lucky, The pulsacoil 2000 is nolonger made and is replaced by the pulsacoil BP with new controls and installation you will be looking somwhere in the region of £2000.00.
