Electramate no hot water
Hi. Got an Electramate 2000 E270 9Kw
Problem is that there is no hot water, just tepid water.
Checked sensor readings, which are showing as follows (no errors):-
Store T1 "40"
PHE T2 "38"
DHW T3 "H34"
T1 On "60"
T2 Off "70"
All 3 pumps are running free and working and voltage to them is ok. There is 242v to front wires of hot bottle, but no power to rear connections (tested during daytime with "Winter" mode on)
All indicators (dashes) on LED display are showing as normal, 3 green LEDs are lit up as they should.
Also noted that when hot water tap is activated, Electramate moves to DHW as it should (dash appears on LED display), but does not switch back when hot water turned off.
I am new to these stores and would appreciate any help that you can give me.
Thanks Steve

Re: Electramate no hot water
HI Steve,
The store is only at 40 degrees, so it will not give you hot water, Sounds like an immersion failure.
Kind regards

Re: Electramate no hot water
Thanks for quick reply.
would immersion failure also cause boiler not to revert back to normal mode after hot water usage has ceased ?
what are the 2 connections to the hot bottle ? Is 1 for peak usage and 1 off peak or is 1 for 4.5 Kw use and the other to make up to 9 Kw usage ?
Thanks for your help

Re: Electramate no hot water
HI Steve,
The immersion failure would not cause the DHW to revert back to normal although these unit do have a pump overrun on them!
Immersions are split I think it is 4.5kw each, usually on summer switch only the top immersion works but on winter both work.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Gary
Think first thing I need to do is replace immersion.
However not getting voltage to rear connections of hot bottle on either Summer or Winter mode ?
Thanks Steve
