Boiling / popping noise from Pulsacoil 2000
Good day,
I just moved into a flat where Pulsacoil 2000 is installed. It is about 5-6 years old and works absolutely fine however from time to time makes loud boiling / popping noise. It occurs on a regular basis regardless of water been on / off.
I would much appreciate if you could advise on the reason and how it could be fixed!
Kind regards,
Oleg

When you say water on / off.
Do you mean water running?
Or water heating?
Have you checked the tank on the top of the unit?
They will make a noise sometimes on heating.
You may have a faulty rod stat in one of the 2 heaters.
If it is just a noisy unit it can be made quieter using some boiler silencer.

Thank you Mike.
I meant that it is noisy even water is not running.
I have checked the tank on the top of the unit and it is full to the line as per instructions.
In terms of rod stats - I had 4 spare ones lying on the unit I moved in - perhaps they got changed or previous tenant wanted to change them. Is it difficult to do on your own?
And how do I use the silencer - just add to the top tank?
You help is much appreciated!

They need to be the correct stats.
To add the silencer you have to drain water out of the unit.
Empty the top tank.
Then add the stuff, top tank up.

Have you the manual on your unit?
