system taking forever to fill up !!

have replaced a pump, ball valve and cleaned the storage tank - coupled everything up, and turned on the water, it is filling so very slow 2 1/2 hrs and still going, i wouldnt say a trickle but it isnt much better -double checked no leaks etc etc.... i had the pipes off the top to clean them as a matter of course whilst wiping out the storage tank, so no blockage..... plenty of pressure going to the storage tank so if it was filling quicker there is plenty of water to replenish the storage tank....

any ideas ??

Sounds like you have an internal cold feed blocked.
Or / and the vent?
